Introducing a bizare circumstance for which the party is best suited to deal with and so they are asked to help.

The party meets the guy by the gate who sells sib, and occasionally alcohol. He remembers the group from the Sheesha, admitting that they seemed fairly angry when they went through the gate. They stopped, and talked to a day labourer he’d seen about a few times, and after that they strode into town with a mission.
They went to the Harbormaster and spoke to the clerk. They post a notice banning all ships in dock from leaving for the time being. The news spreads through the port with great speed.
The party visits the ships in dock. They meet:
On the Fitacore: Captian Kairena of Thelya; Andrain of Chahryn is her pilot.
They find no weapons in Andrain’s cabin, the Captain admits he had a short sword and a crossbow), no extra clothes (off to the laundry maybe?) The ship has a magical “cold storage” and the captain takes them to see it and explains how it works. After a quick search, they find nothing out of the ordinary. They learn that the Captain and Andrain went to the Harbormaster’s dinner the night before he disappeared.
On the Bera: Captain Jor of Kelgofa. Pilot Kerlael (Azeryan).
The party is given a quick tour and the Captain welcomes their presence. They learn that Kerlael was hit on by Andrain, and she was not impressed. He asked to trade pages with her. She assumed it might have been innuendo, but regardless thought it was taboo. The captain’s knowledge of Harnic is not 100% and he left the Harbormaster’s dinner with his pilot.
On the Sheesha. Captain Garal of Elet. Pilot Stenin of Ynai.
They learn that the captain and crew are in mourning. They talk to Stenin about Andrain, and learn that he is not well liked. Stenin likes charting numbers: depths of water in specific places, speeds of wind through the season and the courses of the waves. He’s always asking others for their numbers; but few people are as careful about charting numbers as he is. He was also upset that Kerlael’s time was monopolized by Andrain.
On the Timivan. Captain Kres of Dasyin. Pilot Caran of Chahryn.
They learn that the crew is working hard to pay off their debt for the services of the physician. The captain is still mildly dismayed that his crew was involved in such a fight. Caran repeats much of Stenin’s tale. Caran wasn’t that friendly with any of the pilots, but seems the most aware about the inter-relationships between the pilots.
Matakea Seenaë and Sir Kjarri go and find the 4 missing saliors at the Halean temple. Tend, Chek, Hold, Enden; tell the party they saw the other 8 from the Sheesha having a heated conversation with someone on the docks. They give a general description of a day labourer who sometimes works for a perfumer in market square.
The rest of the party talked to Tyster of Dolden and Jess — the Harbormaster’s clerk (and head of the Pilot’s Guild) and a young pilot in training. Tyster tries to explain the politics of the docks. It’s something even Sir Tirn was unware.
They visit the Guild of the Arcane Lore and speak to Elycia of Chandar. She says Andrain’s body had signs of being dunked in the harbour, but not drowned. He ate a small meal, and drank no alcohol. The other bodies are full of alcohol along with some quickening agent. No clue what it was, but it’s definitely alchemical in nature.
