With everyone’s return to Menekod, the negotiations begin. Will the Northern lords find justice? Will they support the upcoming war? And what of the wolf-spirit who’s demanded his stolen good returned. The adventure continues.
After being ambushed and putting out a keep-sized fire. the party is finally on the way back to Menekod. Other than the constant sense of impending doom (like sands through the hour-glass) and the impending mysteries the party is carrying … it should be a pleasant trip.
After finding the caravan has retreated into a circle, with all of the cavalry moving outside the circle and the soldiers ranging their bows from atop the wagons. Unfortunately, the Agrikans are riding up fast.
The duties of the caravan guard are many, but most center on the obvious. Make certain there is neither theft of goods, nor danger to the caravan … well, lets just settle on getting there all in one piece.
The arrival in Zerien is fortuitous. They meet the larger part of the group they are to escort south, before Sir Petryn own party departs for Winter court. The road they have just travelled should take them back to Menekod in relative safety now that it’s been cleared.
The group is off to escort the northern Lords back to the safety of Menekod Castle. There, the amassed lesser lords will debate their place and their duty in the war with Rethem. Like they say: getting there is 1/2 the fun.
