You have a month or so before you have to go to a (much delayed) Summer Court.

Maketa Seenaë Dyren spends her month of downtime working with Peter, a local Belsirasan. She learns about Belsirasan folklore as well as things that actually work. She comes away with knowledge, and a headache.

The party gathers in Selvos to prepare to take a ship to Aleath for Summer Court. they find that the “Green Mare” has space for them as well as their horses and gear. The party makes a request of Sir Reynald Milaka – they will travel to Sarkham with everything they need to start the pilgrimage, leaving it in Sarkham during Summer Court, and will travel to Aleath with the earl.

10 Agrazhar

The party leaves Selvos aboard the Green Mare. Sir Conlon Chahryn and his son, along with 4 of the Green Owls, travel with the party. It is a 2-day trip to Sarkham.

12 Agrazhar

The ship arrives in Sarkham Bay. The bay is mostly shallow, with some deep channels. It takes 2 hours to navigate into the port itself. The castle is well-maintained and well-guarded. The party is not challenged on arrival. The party is greeted by Sir Reynald, his three Black Guards and an elven woman in silver chain mail. Sir Reynalds informs them that he will be ready to leave for Court on the next day, traveling with his chamberlain Sir Hakein Himaldy. Also joining the party at dinner is Sir Marek as well Dame Penelya and a lady friend of Sir Reynald’s. The party learns that the stelae here is of Baswyn the Missionary on the Laranian side and Aedathos of the West on the Peonian side. People claim to see different things when looking at the stone. Sir Reynald states that sometimes the presence of the stelae affects his dreams.

After a pleasant meal the earl suggests departing early the next morning; since it will be a long ride, they will take a ship to Aleath. They arrive before noon the next day.

13 Agrazhar

The ship comes into the docks to offload. Sir Conlon and Sir Reynald will be staying at the castle, and the party will be staying at the Five Pennies Inn. They drop their gear off, have some food and head to the Halean temple. At the temple, Sir Tirn of Selvos asks to speak with the high priestess; an attendant makes the request and the party leaves their weapons with the Solari. They are brought into the priestess’s office. The party presents her with a cask of gems from Khiraz and heads to the Laranian temple.

Here they are greeted by the knights at the door and request to see the grand mistress of the order. They hand over the second cask of gems and the grand mistress suggests we give the next cask to the Peonian bishop instead of leaving it at the church. The party heads for the castle.

In the castle they make to the temple area on the 3rd floor; they are greeted by the Chabla’s confessor, who says he will gladly interrupt the ongoing argument so that they may speak with the Peonian bishop. They present the next cask of gems to the bishop, informing the Laranian bishop that his cask is already at the temple. They take their leave and head to the temple of Saveknor.

At the door they find one of the motley fools on duty. He suggests that, instead of the high priest, they speak to the master of economics, and brings them to that priest to offer their donation. The master gives some advice about traveling with money and the party takes their leave.

The party goes to speak with Quanel of Menden, the jeweler. Tirn hands over the letter from the usurer in Selvos and the party discusses disposing of their gems and how to make this wealth portable. She agrees to make a few pieces that they can break apart to use as currency.

The party heads for the caer; they run into The King’s Fool and spends some time chatting. He directs them to the great hall where they can find Clemens of Desforia. After greeting them, Clemens leaves momentarily and returns with everyone’s pay. He mentions to the party that they will most likely receive invitations to the party of Brillela Julorf that evening, and other gatherings.

Returning briefly to the inn, they discover several invitations, including a private dinner in a few days with Andasin IV and Prince Anaflas Milaka. The party heads to Florentina (Nina) to purchase more clothing and accessories.
