You’re back in Selvos again,
Out where a friend is a friend.
Where all the sheep wool stays
Until the day the merchants pays
Back in Selvos again.
Ridin’ familiar roads once more
Totin’ your old friendships ashore
Where you sleep through every night
And only the law is right
Back in Selvos again.

The party sets sail from Aleath at midday. It should be a 3-day trip to Selvos. They pass by Sarkham and the Emeba Strait. They set extra watches coming out of the strait in case of pirate attacks. A few longboats are seen offshore, but they are whalers who were blown off course.

Just after noon, the ship arrives in Selvos. The town is gearing up for the summer Wool Fair. The ship pulls into dock and unloads the party’s chests. They plan to bring them to the chantry for safekeeping. The chests are loaded onto a cart and the party follows the chart to the Guild of Arcane Lore. Viran Harak of Chandar meets the party at the door with a couple of apprentices in tow. All the chests are placed in the safekeeping of the guild and the party decides to take one box of mixed gems to Daerga of Ekimon the mercantiler to exchange for money. Maketa Seenaë Dyren requests that her share be transferred to Valenar of Enyn. The party decides not to exchange their gems here, and instead Daerga will give them a letter of reference to a mercantiler in Aleath who will have more ready cash. He suggests to Seenaë that she should request the same kind of letter from Valenar. He also gives them a letter to be presented at the temple of Halea at Chyran where they will be able to sell the jewelry they brought back. As the party leaves Valemar’s shop one of the runners from the Peonian temple finds them and tells them that there is someone waiting for them at the White Gold Inn. While the rest of the party heads for the inn, Seenaë goes to speak with Valemar; she checks on her accounts and requests the letter that Daega suggested. Valemar informs her that her brother Korol has been coming in a lot asking for money; Valemar also suggests that Seenaë diversify her investments by getting a factor in Aleath, and writes her a letter of introduction. He suggests that she may want to buy the building her father Boras lives in; he will look into it and arrange the purchase and upgrade.
Seenaë meets up with the rest of the party and is introduced to Mardrin, the man who wishes to become The King’s Fool’s partner.
