The party goes up the stairs from the statues into a room with two windows showing different scenes. Nina realizes that these windows can be tuned to the same location. Once they align them, a light square opens in the area between the two windows. Things can pass out, and the party can hear what happens on the other side. Sir Tirn of Selvos focuses on Golotha, and listens for a bit on the doings in the castle. The party then refocuses on The King’s Fool and repeats to him all they’ve found so far. He gives them an item to help fix the maze’s false soul. The Fool tells the party about who built the crypt, and that he’d been there before.
Tirn then refocuses to find the master of his guild; the master disembodies himself and comes to speak to them in person. He teaches Tirn the spell to fix the soul of the maze; the guild master then notices that something is watching the party. He kisses the ladies’ hands and clasps the hands of the men, leaving a purple aura that will let him talk to everyone, then goes off to investigate. Tirn heals the maze.
They enter a room containing a fountain housing a water spirit. Conversing with it, they then head down a nearby shaft, aided by a friendly air spirit who agrees to go get a friendly fire spirit. At the room at the end of the shaft, they find an undead mage. Fight scene.
