As the large undead falls, the party hears more approaching behind them and the fight begins anew, but the undead are defeated. Nina discovers that Viran Harak of Chandar‘s soul is in the skull they found in the room. Master Harak tells the party that they have to turn off the holocaust to stop the large undead from regenerating. They convinces the water elemental to come down and douse the flame. The party loots the room and examines the halls off of it; there are a number of boxes containing souls of the undead, and the souls are free. At the end of the hall, they find a dais with large green stone on it. It’s magic, and Sir Tirn of Selvos tries to attune to it. He can’t figure out what it is; the party asks Master Harak, who reveals it looks like the necromancer’s spellbook. The altar behind the green stone is dedicated to a god, but they can’t figure out to who. With the help of Coyote, they realize it’s to the spirit of Hart. They manage to open the stone cover of the altar and removes Hart’s ashes so they can bury her where she should be.
They destroy the spirit boxes of two of Balsha’s sons here and in another room.
The party gets the elementals to help with getting them out of the complex; the fire elemental torches the remaining bodies. Plans are made to send the elementals to the Selvos chantry and be hired. Once out of the tomb, the party manages to break the skull with the help of Master Harak. The shade of Balsha’s son is defeated. The other spirit in the skull was Hart; they take her to her resting place, and Tamarie gets a medallion as a parting gift.
